With over 15+ years industry experience, Belinda is a specialist in specialist in designing and producing large-scale events in a variety of industries. Her portfolio includes internationally renowned festivals, major art exhibitions, launches, galas, pop-ups and conferences, in over 20 countries across Australasia, Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.
Her strength lies in her ability to create and curate unique experiences and market events for maximum impact.
Belinda’s high class approach to creative event production and meticulous attention to detail has allowed The Social Crew opportunity to lead/produce internationally recognised events including Rone Empire, White Night Melbourne, Festival of Live Art, Melbourne Music Week, Dark Mofo, Crumpler Rollin’ to Rio, work with a wide range of musicians and artists, and work with clients to celebrate their achievements by hosting galas, dinners and launches.
Not shy of a challenge, Bee enjoys collaborative projects which push boundaries. From 2015-2018 Bee was also Co-Director and Founder of Collingwood contemporary art space, Besser Space, which hosted exhibitions for artist including Anthony Lister, Kaffeine, Reko Rennie, Lucy Lucy, Slicer, Thom Rigney, Anastasia La Fey + many more. Belinda is also on the creative team on one of Victoria’s newest independent street press, Gippslandia, regularly contributing articles which discuss music, art and culture.
In her spare time, you’ll find Bee at gigs and exhibitions, plotting travel and keeping active by running, cycling or practicing yoga. She once ran the New York marathon, but vows never to do it again.
Since completing a Bachelor in Business Event and Convention Management at Southern Cross University in 2014, Briony's portfolio has seen her deliver events across Melbourne, Brisbane and London, UK.
Briony's experience working within boutique venues, including boutique design hotel, ACE Hotel London, has seen her execute events for a wide range of clientele across fashion, advertising, music for brands such as Nike, Adidas, Calvin Klein, H&M, delivering both small and large-scale events such as conferences, product launches, meetings, workshops, dinners and exclusive events.
Her direct experience with site visits, pre-event meetings with clients and third party suppliers allows her to understand event requirements from both sides of the fence.
Briony is an energetic, results-orientated and client focused events professional, who is highly efficient Event Coordinator.
Briony has travelled South America and Europe extensively and loves to share stories of her adventures. We can vouch for the fact that she has the best photo of Bolivia's Salt Lake getting around.
Ellie Kent, Designer
Since graduating from her Masters in Performance Design in 2015, Ellie, has been freelancing as a set and costume designer and working part-time in an art gallery.
Designing within industries of theatre and architecture, enables Ellie’s broader realm of space-making, including exhibition design, retail design, events and activation to draw on the fields of contemporary art, and literature.
Ellie has a strong understanding of what’s involved in delivering built projects, having grown up working in her mother’s architectural practice.
Ellie’s experience encompasses a wide variety of tasks such as analysing sites, preparing finishes schedules & sample boards, composing and laying out client presentations, designing signage, drafting and in-house model-making. Ellie’s skill in producing incredible drawings when Bee blurts out random ideas, is notable.
Past experience locally with Malthouse Theatre, and internationally in Berlin’s Schaubuhne Theatre and Aurel Scheibler Galerie also provide Ellie with the international experience synonymous across our crew.
Jack Hollenberg, Communications Coordinator
After completing our winter internship program, Jack officially joined our crew as Communications Coordinator in 2018.
Recently completing his Bachelor of Communication at RMIT specialising in journalism and pop culture, Jack’s valuable writing skills and pop culture knowledge ensure we are on the ball when it comes to coordinating effective content for our clients’ events and festivals.
A volunteer at Collingwood community radio station, SYN, Jack’s experience producing and presenting a weekly radio show “New and Approved”, which led to him being selected by Brisbane community radio station, 4ZZZ to interview showcasing acts at BIGSOUND.
Alongside his radio experience, coordinating live music events, managing social media and snapping and recording of interviews with artists such as MGMT, Billie Eilish, Jack Antonoff and Cub Sport is a huge asset to our team’s cultural presence in the industry.
When he’s not working with us, Jack is a barista saving for his overseas adventures to the US and Japan..
On the weekends you’ll at a gig or festival. His uncanny skill to know every lyric to songs is impressive.
