This November/December our foodie friends, Fred and Ginger Catering, held back-to-back end of year parties in a fabulously unique Melbourne rooftop venue. It's rare to find a blank canvas let alone an inner-city roof top, so we thought we'd embrace summer, and create a concept and style which was fun and vibrant, whilst Fred and Ginger produced delicious seasonal cuisine, as guests sipped signature pink flamingo cocktails.
Clean lines, pops of bright colour and a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces have become the hallmarks of Palm Springs architecture. And, quite frankly, just like a vodka filled watermelon, everyone wants a piece of it. So we decided to combine the two, and pop up at L1 Studios with Palm Springs style.
To cater for Melbourne weather (you just never know), the event consisted of two spaces for guests to mingle. Downstairs, a modern cocktail lounge, incorporating a photo wall for guests to take with them a memory of their day/night. Upstairs, discover skyline views, lush palm trees, cactus and festoon lighting.
Keeping with a colour palette of soft greens, candy pink and pops of yellow our bespoke style included yellow and white striped umbrellas, custom laser cut bar in Californian brick
An urban jungle, with skyline views, lush palm trees, cactus and festoon lighting, a variety of guests partied as the sun set across the city.
