A cold winter's night, a beer festival and a pig farm.
True to their name, Mountain Goat's, Cans and Bands at the Farm, take on winter head first, embracing the cold, positioning themselves steadily as hosts of one of the most exclusive tickets on the Good Beer Week event calendar.
Held at Collingwood Children's Farm, the event does what it says on the box. After the cow is milked and the guinea pigs are fed, we convert the pig pen into the ultimate punk venue for a special crowd of 200. Our second year programming saw indie/psych pop/rock four piece, Parsnip, warm up the crowd shortly followed by Melbourne punk/rock faves, Cable Ties, slaying under infrared glow. We challenged Cable Ties to be louder than The Peep Tempel in 2017, and despite Jenny having laryngitis, we reckon they just may have surpassed them.
Who said winter was boring 'eh.
